Drupal Scotland - Business Day and Camp
In a few weeks, Scotland's premier Drupal event for 2012 will take place at the University of Edinburgh, and we're going to be there. Rob is helping to organise the Drupal for Business day and community Drupal Camp, due to be held 25-26 May at the Informatics Forum. He'll also be taking on both days, with a brief case study on Friday (applying Drupal in a university environment), then a few more technical talks on the Saturday.
It will offer a chance for businesses to find out more about building their web presence for low cost with Drupal. In addition to some great talks from big names from the UK and across the world on Friday, there will be few sessions on Friday afternoon specifically geared for startups, especially if building a website seems a bit daunting.
As the premier training and promotional event for Drupal in the Scottish calendar, Saturday's camp represents an ideal platform to reach out to the full gamut of interested web professionals: developers, designers, site builders, project managers and business owners. Sessions will be presented by the community and some fantastic local and international companies, there'll be plenty of opportunity to hook up with web designers, developers and site builders, and a fantastic keynote presentation from the Apache Software Foundation.
Registration is entirely free; there will be exhibition stands, free lunch and the chance to network with some of the best web companies and individuals in Scotland. For those attending on Saturday, there's even the chance for a sponsored beer! More info and registration at http://camp.drupalscotland.org/
